Nexternal Solutions is excited to release the new Dynamic Cart Addendum feature. This feature is designed to encourage consumers to purchase more items in order to receive a specific promotion. Eg. Free shipping, a percentage off. Amazon.com has successfully used this type of promotion for a long time. At Amazon, if you order at least $25 worth of eligible items, you have the option to select free shipping. Anyone that has ever ordered at Amazon has likely ordered more than the originally intended based on their messaging. Now Nexternal clients can provide that type of dynamic messaging if they run similar promotions.

The Cart Addendum appears in the cart just below the order total, as shown in these examples:-

The Cart Addendum appears if there is at least one product in the shopping cart from the online store, but never appears when the cart is empty.

This feature has a large range of potential uses, including notifying the customer that they are approaching an important threshold value (perhaps at which a discount applies). Eg:-

Wait! Add $10.00 of items to your order to qualify for FREE Ground Shipping!

Or for a winery:

Wait! Just add 6 bottles to your order and receive a 10% case discount.

The goal of this feature is to help merchants increase their average order size. For more information, click here:
