The Commerce Connector is a free turnkey application integrated with Sales Cloud 2

Carlsbad, CA August 23, 2010 -Nexternal Solutions is proud to announce its Commerce Connector Application has been added to the salesforce.com AppExchange 2. The Commerce Connector is a free turnkey application that automatically pulls sales, product and customer information from Nexternal’s Ecommerce System into the Sales Cloud 2. Commerce Connector automatically books transactions performed and translates them into won opportunities records for customers. Sales and customer service employees now automatically have a holistic view of their customer’s ecommerce activities including order information within the Sales Cloud 2.

Alex Gile, president of Nexternal states, “Late last year we noticed something interesting; a number of our high volume clients were also using salesforce.com. We thought it would make sense to provide a free turnkey integration that could be used by all of our clients, not just those with large integration budgets. Salesforce.com is the clear leader in cloud computing so aligning ourselves with them provides tremendous benefits to merchants who use both systems.”

Kendall Collins, chief marketing officer at saleforce.com says, “Nexternal is a great option for customers who want an integrated shopping cart platform. Now companies doing either b2b or b2c ecommerce can visit AppExchange 2 and add ecommerce to their Sales Cloud 2 implementation with a few clicks.”

The development effort was led by Jerry Hewett, senior developer at Nexternal. Hewett states, “The Commerce Connector lives in the cloud on AppExchange 2. Mutual clients simply check a box and the Commerce Connector will pull in order information from their Nexternal storefront. It’s about as simple as it gets.”

The first install of the application was done by Steve Steiner who runs DAMMAD Inc. Steiner had been looking for an integration shopping cart application for a long time and was thrilled to see Nexternal pop up on AppExchange 2. “I now have a beautiful, super functional shopping cart that feeds data directly into my salesforce.com account. I couldn’t be happier.”
