Before You Leave The Country, Don’t Forget To…
As the summer is in full swing, many of our Nexternal clients are currently, or will be traveling out of the United States on business or pleasure.
Some of you may have noticed that while traveling outside of the United States, you cannot access your Nexternal Order Management System. We have strict security in place, and by default we do not allow IP addresses outside of the United States and Canada access to log into the Order Management System.
As a reminder, ALWAYS log into your Nexternal Order Management System before you leave and “unlock” the countries you will be visiting. You can do this under Settings/Anti Fraud and Security/Edit and scroll through to page 2. Use the Order Management System drop down and select “Allow.” Don’t forget to add all the countries you will be visiting if it’s more than one. Click finish at the bottom and you are all set!
If you don’t follow these steps before you leave on your trip, you can always have another Administrator on your account do this for you if your attempt to log in from a foreign country is blocked. Nexternal employees will not be able to make these changes for you.
As a best practice, if you are the only administrator on your account, Nexternal highly recommends adding a trusted friend, spouse or business partner as an Administrator to avoid being locked out of your account for your entire trip.
When you get back to the United States, don’t forget to change your Security Settings back to not allow for those international IP addresses you allowed while on vacation.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Nexternal Account Manager for assistance!
