New Online Merchandising Tool – Custom Tabs

Displaying content that connects with customers and helps them visualize an item’s benefits has a major impact on their purchasing behavior. Many merchants have custom content that can complement their product descriptions and better connect with customers. Nexternal clients now have two new ways of displaying custom content in 2 new tabs on the product detail page.

Note the “Recipes & Food Pairings” & “Video” in the image above:

These new “Custom Tabs” are completely customizable and very easy to implement via the Product Edit page.

In the example above, a winery is utilizing these new tabs to display highly relevant content that can influence a customer’s purchasing decision: Recipes and Food Pairings.

An Apparel based business might consider displaying sizing charts to reduce any uncertainty about the fit of an item. Or maybe video tab, like the one above, is best for showing your product in action. It will reduce any scrolling and be cleaner and easy for mobile shoppers.

These new custom tabs are really easy to implement as well. No coding knowledge is needed. No need to call your web designer either. Just edit any product, customize the tab label, and enter your content into the fully HTML formattable field.
