Consider creating special promotions outside of traditional holidays. Every customer deserves to feel special so why not offer a discount to your most loyal customers called “Anniversary Sale” in celebration of their first purchase? These customers continue to support you helping your business grow and succeed. Make your customers aware of your appreciation by celebrating them. Here are easy ways to be sure your customers get the recognition they deserve:

• Send special anniversary cards.
• Send customers a promotional coupon gift.

Kohl’s does a great job at putting coupons to work for them. They make their marketing messages stand out by sending their individual customers anniversary cards. This include a discount to use with their next purchase. They even personalize these cards by identifying how long they’ve been doing business together. They successfully turn anniversaries into relationship building opportunities.

Help your customers save money while impressing them. An anniversary coupon card will show your gratitude in memorable way. Distributing or emailing anniversary coupon cards can increase revenue while maintaining customer loyalty, plus you won’t have to spend a ton of money on marketing.

Tip for Nexternal Clients: A similar promotion would be easy to run within Nexternal. For example, if you wanted to run a 1 year anniversary promotion for August 2015, here is what you can do: Navigate to customers>advanced search/sort>order history search>select the check box for “Customers who placed their first orders between” and fill in the dates: 8/1/2014 and 8/31/2014

Click Search and you will see the results populate. From there, you can either email those customers a coupon or create mailing labels if you plan to send them a physical card. To do either option, navigate to mail wizard and select the mailing type you wish to perform (either Bulk email, Mailing labels or Both) and under contact criteria, select search results>order history search and follow the steps.
