Grow Your Gratuity

Anyone who has ever spent a day on the service side of the food and beverage industry understands the importance of gratuity. For many employees in a service industry, tipping is the primary source of income. We are no strangers to tipping because it has become the norm in our society. Companies have included a “tip” line printout on the customer’s paper dining receipts for many years. Now that things are moving towards mobile technology, we have the opportunity to make tipping much more automatic and suggested to the customer. These high tech, touch-screen, POS terminals provide automated calculations and flexibility to the customer by allowing them to pay electronically in a paperless world.

HighJump has developed the Engage Mobile POS so that tipping is effortless. The HighJump Engage Gratuity feature offers companies the ability to decide the suggested value and the settings can be modified to meet your business’ needs. Companies can choose to offer gratuities for up to three suggested values. Companies can decide on using a percentage or a flat amount, and even allows a custom value so that consumers are free to enter whatever amount they choose, or no tip at all.


Gratuities are a key feature to add to your POS if you wish to keep checkouts fast and easy for customers, and if you wish to keep sales associates satisfied by providing further compensation for their exceptional customer service.
