Nexternal eCommerce Integration now Included in eMobilePOS
Merchants can place orders using the eMobilePOS iPhone and iPad application and have them stream to the Nexternal eCommerce Platform.
Feb 7, 2013 – Nexternal, a leading cloud based eCommerce platform company, and eMobilePOS, an award winning iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch mobile point of sale (POS) provider are excited to announce the beta release of an integration between both companies’ systems. Merchants can now capture point of sale orders in their retail locations, trade shows, wine tasting rooms, or any location where a credit card swipe is expected, and have that order information automatically flow from eMobilePOS to the merchant’s Nexternal platform. Customer and product data are also imported directly from the Nexternal platform into eMobilePOS for centralized inventory and product information management.
eMobilePOS turns iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads into full-featured point-of-sale devices without the need to buy expensive and bulky terminals. By simply downloading the eMobilePOS from the Apple App Store, merchants are able to launch their point of sale systems quickly and easily since it leverages equipment they already own. With the included Nexternal integration, merchants will see always up-to-date order, customer, and inventory information in their Nexternal Order Management System regardless of sales channel. The Nexternal integration also provides customers on site the option of taking the purchased items with them, or having them shipped. Shipped orders will pull shipping rates from the Nexternal platform so shipping costs will be accurately presented to the customer. While all orders from eMobilePOS will be pushed to the Nexternal cloud, orders that require shipping will have their shipping labels created directly in the Nexternal Order Management System.
“Our team seeks to maximize mobility, streamline processes and improve retailers’ bottom line by providing a complete POS solution that fits in the palm of the hand,” said Joel Vázquez, President of e-Nabler. “Our Integration with Nexternal is in line with eMobilePOS’ mission of providing interoperability and flexibility enabling our clients to leverage one of the best eCommerce platforms on the market. I really like that merchants are able to take advantage of Nexternal’s robust order processing for orders taken in person that require shipment – something very common in the wine industry.”
Alex Gile, President of Nexternal added, “A little more than a year ago, it was clear to us that the iPad was the future for point of sale applications. We initially considered creating our own application. However, once we discovered eMobilePOS who had been building tablet based point of sale applications since 2003, it was clear that it made much more sense for us to partner with the industry’s leading provider. The team at eMobilePOS has built a fantastic POS application that is very easy to use. I am also really impressed with the integration they created. All order info, including customer and line item data, gets seamlessly synchronized between systems. The fact that they even used Nexternal’s Order Calculate tool to generate real-time shipping rates is a testament to the level of integration between the systems.” Companies that are interested in taking advantage of this beta offering can call Nexternal (800-914-6161) or eMobilePOS (800-360-2624) directly.
